Focusing in a specific area of composition and investigating the role of the artist in society, the Erasmus Intensive (IP) 2012 carries the subheading ‘Composition: Aesthetics and Social Experience’. It builds on the partner experience and outcomes of the ‘Practicing Composition: Making Practice’ (IP 2011) and continues to provide a framework for the interactive sharing, discussion and analysis of dramaturgical, compositional and choreographic approaches to the making and composition of physically-based performance that are currently in use in a number of practice-led graduate dance and choreographic programmes and in the professional field in Europe.
