I pretend to know very little about dance, so as an image maker I will speak about visual language – but I am convinced I will speak metaphorically about dance.You are invited refers to what I call ” the open image” – these are images that do not construct (or dictate) meaning in a one dimensional way, they inspire a dialog with the viewer. I will try to enlighten the subject by going a bit into image theory- examples from the art, design and brand communication. Then I will make a connection to society and the position of the artist in it. In my conclusion I will refer to the discourse on master courses, a recent phenomena, as artistic research / interdisciplinary productions.
